"I was referred to Al Anderson's 10 years ago by a friend of mine who raved about their selection, knowledge and fantastic customer service. Now I'm the one sending my friend's to Al Anderson's".

Virgil Reed
Owner, Reed Security

Before the project we met with Chris Nomeland, Assistant General Manager, and provided a FREE Security Evaluation. After the installation we again connected with Chris and these were his comments:

  1. We chose Reed because of the reputation and customer service.  Pairing this with supporting a local business made this decision the right one for us.
  2. We switched our Monitoring to consolidate our initial ReedHD camera system and security to one invoice. The service we had received from start to finish with the camera system made switching our monitoring a no brainer
  3. The ReedHD Business Bundle made the decision easy for us to onboard the camera system.  Knowing we were going to get great cameras, installed by professionals, serviced quickly and a plan tailored to our needs again fit our plan perfectly.  Also having the app on our smartphones to see what is happening whether inside our business or when we are away is great.
  4. We would definitely refer other business colleagues to start a discussion with Reed Security.

WE WERE UNHAPPY WITH OUR PREVIOUS SECURITY PROVIDER

A TESTIMONIAL FROM DEPESH PARMAR, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, IDEAS INC

Project: Ideas Inc

Ideas Inc is a business incubator located in Riversdale, Saskatoon. They serve as a launch pad to develop growing businesses by offering space, coaching and mentorship. Check out their video...

Before the project we met with Depesh Parmar, Executive Director, and provided a FREE Security Evaluation. After the installation we again connected with Depesh and these were his comments:

1. We decided to have our security needs assessed by Reed Security for multiple reasons. We were unhappy with our current service providers customer service. Also, we found our security system was dated and not providing the level of protection needed for our clients. After we conducted a security assessment, we were impressed with the options provided to improve our alarm system, cameras, key fobs and overall building security at a feasible price.

2. The systems provided by Reed Security have vastly improved the operations of our organization. The key fob system is easy to use allowing us to track who is entering the building and de-activate lost fobs. The hi-definition camera system is much improved, allowing us to view live streams on the go from our mobile devices and computers. Also, we can easily change alarm codes for new tenants entering the building. The install was done quickly and it was a pleasure to work with the Reed Security team.

3. I would definitely recommend Reed Security to others. The customer service is exceptional, they are always there to help you with each step in the process and any future needs. Not only is our security improved, but our operations as a whole runs more efficient.

THE INSIDER'S GUIDE TO CHOOSING A SECURITY PROVIDER

Project: Lead

In July 2015 Lead expanded into their 9,000 square foot facility in the Sutherland area. Their state-of-the-art facility hosts over 100 classes per week including classes for healthy and healing bodies, for golfers, for bodies who are or have gone through cancer treatment, and athletic classes like their Hot Pilates (appropriately named "Burn).  Their youngest client is and their oldest is 87.  Connected to the fitness area is their integrated health services clinic - home to chiropractic, massage therapy, sports medicine and reiki. Later this summer their Naturopathic Medicine doctor and theirReflexologist will join the team. The goal at Lead is to educate, inspire and move every body that walks in their door. Their team works together to meet the wellness needs of their clients. In essence, each client has their own personal wellness team!

To start the project we met Jason Danielson, co-owner, on site and provided a FREE Security Evaluation. After the installation we connected with Jana Danielson, co-owner, and these were her comments:

  • There were many options that we considered when we selected a security provider for our new location
  • Criteria that we used to narrow down our selection was:
    • service from a local company
    • experience in the industry
    • quality of product compared to price
    • technology available in the security system to protect our investment
  • When considering these parameters there was only one company that not only met all of our requirements, but ranked highest in almost every category and that was Reed Security
  • Right from the proposal phase of our experience with Virgil and his team, they were by far the most detailed and easiest to work with
  • We encountered a few challenges caused by other contractors actions prior to the installation that the Reed Security team stepped up andhandled without even troubling us during a very busy and stressful time prior to opening our doors

THE SECRET OF OUR SUCCESS: AFFORDABILITY & FANTASTIC SERVICE

Two years ago, Oyvind Sparboe and Myron Jacobsen brought Reed Security to Prince Albert.

“We were long term employees at another security company and we saw first hand there was a lot of room for improvement.,” said Sparboe. “We looked at several partnership options and after careful screening, Reed Security and their $5 a month promo was clearly the best choice.”

You can feel at ease knowing your home, cabin or business is secure when you choose Reed Security as your security provider.  Solutions include Alarm Systems with 24-7 Monitoring, ReedHD™ Hi-Def Cameras you can view from your smartphone and Access Control swipe-card systems which control who goes where and when.

The one thing separating Reed Security from the rest is the commitment to providing Excellent Customer Service. Reed Security cares about building long-term relationships with their clients, going above and beyond before and after the sale. Some companies may take weeks to provide service, while Reed Security’s goal is by the next business day.

Jacobsen and Sparboe know one of the biggest benefits to having a monitored home security system, is it provides constant monitoring when you are unable to do so yourself. If you need to leave town for business or a vacation, they recommend putting your trust in Reed Security. Reed Security offers full monitoring and is a ULC listed company, which indicates a high standard of monitoring and installation. You can feel assured there will be a response to an emergency situation. Additionally, when you are away from your home or business you can use remote monitoring services. For example, ALARM.COM interactive services use 3G cell towers to connect your security system directly to your smartphone, tablet, or PC. No phone line is required.

“Today, your security system can provide you with a variety of notifications,” said Jacobsen.  “There are a lot of latch-key kids out there so now when the kids come home from school at four o’clock, or whenever, you can get a notification on your phone that lets you know the kids are home.”

Jacobsen and Sparboe want to inform potential customers that an alarm system can also provide additional protection to a variety of other factors including fire and carbon dioxide detection while preventing intruders and protecting valuables.

“A security system is not just used for security anymore,” said Jacobsen. “A lot of people think, ‘Oh, I will never get broken into.’ Well, you could still have a flood in your home, you could have a fire in your home or your furnace could quit.

“Today you can add to your security system a variety of sensors such as environmental sensors, low temp sensors, water sensors, smoke sensors and carbon dioxide sensors.”

An Anniversary Gift to You!

How to Prevent Theft

  • Use Common Sense
    • If you lose a key, get the locks changed.
    • Ask all strangers for identification.
    • Never hide an extra key outdoor - especially underneath a mat or on top of a light fixture. This is the first place the bad guys look. Leave an extra house key with a friend or a neighbor.
    • DO NOT advertise on Facebook or other social media that you are on vacation. If you want to post photos, then do it when you get home.
    • For insurance purposes take photos of the contents of your home.
    • Keep all receipts in a safe and easy to find location.
    • Write down the model and serial number of all electronics.
  • Make it Difficult
    • Door chains are easy to bypass. Install deadbolts.
    • Install a stopper or stick on all sliding doors and windows.
    • Install window bars on all basement windows.
    • Make sure all doors and windows are properly locked.
    • Keep your premises well lit at night.
    • Install timers that turn lights on at different times. This gives the appearance that someone is home.
  • Install a monitored Home Security system
    • 400% less likely to have a break-in.
    • up to 25% insurance discount.
    • optional ALARM.COM with automatic lights.
  • In case you do have a break-in:
    • If it looks like a door or window was forced open, DO NOT go inside. The Burglar may still be on site.
    • Call the Police from your cellular phone or from a neighbor's house and wait.
